Closing the gap—We helped Microsoft & third-party retailers increase Microsoft 365 subscription sales 18%.

 

New device shoppers were not considering adding Microsoft 365 when checking out online and in-store retailers. As a result of not having Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint on their new devices, outside of hurting M365 revenue, customers were unsatisfied with their purchase, driving device returns for retailers.

As Creative Lead, I drove a new project for Microsoft to influence the purchase journey on 3rd party retailer sites. I utilized Human-Centered Design approaches to innovate across the entire digital and physical purchase journey, leveraging AI to optimize creative effectiveness, and help drive attach rates of M365.

I collaborated closely with Strategy, Client, and Retail Partners to analyze best practices, create build-test-optimize iterative workflows, and deliver a global campaign highlighting the necessity of Microsoft 365. We developed toolkits and guidelines for implementation by retailers all around the world.

As a result of our campaign we were able to boost sales by 18% ($230MM) and triple the agency’s engagement with the client through campaign extensions.
